Wallingford , Connecticut is situated in the beautiful Quinnipiac River Valley . The town was once known for its Silver and Britannia manufacturing businesses, but is now known for manufacturing, shipping and technology businesses. Quiet family neighborhoods are well-situated away from the industrial and business parks. The public school system is excellent with special programs for the gifted as well as adult education classes; the prestigious college preparatory school Choate-Rosemary Hall is also located in town.

Wallingford is a picturesque river valley town bordered by stunning highlands to the west and rugged rocky ridges to the east. Established as a small farming community in 1670, the town is now home to an impressive family of manufacturers that employ many of the local residents. Steel, hardware and plastics are among the products made in Wallingford.

The town's economic success and vibrant employment environment has lead to an active market for new home construction. The Wallingford Land Trust is dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of Wallingford's natural countryside.

The public school system offers a balanced curriculum for college and vocational students, as well as special programs for the disabled and evening classes for adults. Wallingford is home to the well-known college prep school, Choate-Rosemary Hall.
