Situated just west of Stamford, Greenwich still retains much of its original village like qualities. Populated predominantly with higher income residents, Greenwich is the dining and shopping capital of southwestern Connecticut. Its downtown streets are lined with boutiques and restaurants.

Greenwich is considered one of the most desirable hometowns for higher income people. Just a short commute from Manhattan, it is home to many top executives and entertainers. The homes tend to be large and the property can be expensive.

It is a town with much character. Art lovers can enjoy the Bush-Holley House and the Bruce Museum. Putnam Cottage is a site owned by the Daughters of the American Revolution that keeps alive memories of the town's colonial past.
